An epidemiologist by training, I have been a human capital strategist and consultant for the past 10 years. I started WellSolve Health Research Network in 1999 with the aim to make a difference in the healthcare workforce through training, career solutions, employer resources, along with a variety of personal and professional development tools and networking/learning events.

In 2004, I founded Diversity HealthWorks in order to focus on being a catalyst and destination point for people committed to diversity and cultural competency in healthcare. Will short-term thinking's results ever jolt us into reality?

The Logic of What Might Be

We have a healthcare (insurance) reform bill passed in theory and probably soon to be passed in actuality.

The next question is: what does this mean? What does it mean, politically, functionally, to you, to me, to many others that don't have the wherewithal, desire, or ability (as a result of no connectivity or not having connectivity, if you know what I mean).
